Popular American coffee and bakery chain, Dunkin’ Donuts, has launched a new social media marketing campaign in line with the run-up to Christmas, according to an article published by the Sacramento Bee.
Following on from the success of last year’s first #DresseDD Holiday Sweater Twitter Contest, Dunkin’ Donuts is once again encouraging people to dig out those festive jumpers from the back of the wardrobe, put them on, and submit the photos to Dunkin’ Donuts’ official Twitter account, @DunkinDonuts.
In order to be in with a chance to win a $50 gift card to spend in store, users tweeting photos must include the hashtag #DresseDD at the end of their tweet.
Already underway, the contest will run until December 21.
Chief global marketing and innovation officer at Dunkin’ Brands, John Costello said: “The holiday sweater is fun symbol of the season, and our fans clearly enjoyed the chance to show off their most festive holiday garb during out Holiday Sweater Twitter contest last year.
“We’re looking forward to brining back the contest this year, and rewarding three winners with a $50 Dunkin’ Donuts Card so they can keep warm – sweater or no sweater – with our hot coffee, breakfast sandwiches and favorite food and beverages into the new year,” he added.
