In a bid to increase footfall to their restaurants and cafés, Tragus Group – owner of Strada, Café Rouge and Bella Italia – have launched a new social media marketing initiative, according to an article published by New Media Age.

Tragus will be encouraging users to share their experiences with others on social media sites such as Twitter, YouTube and Facebook, by posting photos and videos.

Any such interaction with one of Tragus’ brands will be rewarded with special discounts and other incentives.

The holding company hope that those who interact with the various brands through social media will then become regular diners – thanks to the incentives on offer.

Speaking about the initiative, Jemima Bird, marketing director at Tragus Group said: “We are very focused on generating real value from social media through more proactive engagement with our customers to help ensure that they become even more loyal to our brands.”

Back in October, Bella Italia rewarded users of Facebook who shared their personalised pizzas on the site with promotional vouchers – with this campaign having been a success, Tragus are hoping that this new initiative works just as well.
