Yesterday saw the second day of the Search Engines Strategies Conference and Expo (SES) in San Jose, California.
Among the guest speakers on the agenda was chief executive of Ask.com, Jim Lanzone, who outlined some of the current developments taking place at the search engine company, according to Lisa Barone of internet consultancy Bruce Clay.
Ms Barone writes that during the discussion with conference co-chair Chris Sherman, Mr Lanzone answered questions on Ask.com’s level of interest in market share as well as the development of its Ask3D interface.
Mr Lanzone said that search engine optimisation could prove to be an important factor of Ask3D’s performance and that if the company were overly concerned with market share they would not have attempted it.
Earlier this month Search Engine Land reported that the keynote speakers for the 2007 SMX Social Media search marketing expo in New York had been revealed.
Founder of Del.icio.us, Joshua Schachter as well as founder of StumbleUpon Garrett Camp will appear at the event which takes place on October 16th and 17th.
