Google has boosted its search marketing credentials by adding a Windows Mobile function for web users on the move.
According to the Google Mobile Blog, the move forms part of an ongoing expansion into the mobile search market and will offer users an extra functionality in line with recent Symbian and BlackBerry versions of the application.
It is claimed that the new application will allow Windows Mobile user’s to browse the internet using Google by downloading a plug-in that will result in "faster than ever" searches.
"We think you’ll find it so much faster and easier that you’ll start conducting more mobile web searches than you ever had before," the blog states.
Google claims that combined usage numbers for the recent BlackBerry and Symbian versions of the plug-in saw users receive search results up to 40 per cent than before and this is something they hope can be replicated with the Windows Mobile model.
