Online user-generated content is continuing to grow, as worldwide revenue from user-generated video is set to top $1.1 billion (£563 million), a new report claims.
Research from In-Stat claims that user-generated video will lead the way as internet marketing advertising revenue from such content grows at a "surprising rate", BizReport said.
Forecasts claim that around 160 billion videos will be served by 2012, with mobile phone users likely to contribute revenue and content in this way.
In August 2006, Brand Republic claimed that user-generated content is driving the next stage in the progress of the internet, offering marketing opportunities for online marketing agencies and brands.
