Search engine optimisation teams looking to boost rankings may benefit from new improvements to Google search.
In a blog post, the search engine announced that it will now offer an expanded list of related searches to help consumers find the information they need.
For companies operating on the web, this means consumers looking for their products or services online may be able to find them more easily by clicking on some of the related terms offered to refine their search.
Google said it will also offer longer snippets on its results pages, giving internet users more information about each webpage in the list.
The search engine pointed out that regular-length snippets may not provide enough information and context for users entering queries with three or more words.
"In these situations, we now increase the number of lines in the snippet to provide more information and show more of the words you typed in the context of the page," it stated.
The announcement comes after Google began displaying ads alongside full text articles that are hosted on Google News.
