Google has further developed its Translate service by adding a new gadget that makes website content available in 51 languages – a move that could benefit brands wishing to reach a wider global audience.
Writing on the Google blog, product manager Jeff Chin observed that, through the new tool, users will be automatically prompted to translate web pages into their own language, if it differs from the language of the site – as determined by their internet settings.
"How long would it take to translate all the world’s web content into 50 languages?" he asked, stressing the convenience and efficiency of the new product.
Mr Chin added that the gadget is simple to install through the cutting and pasting of a snippet onto a company’s webpage.
Earlier this month, those in online PR were further assisted by Google following improvements to its search service, which offers marketers graphical representations of the fastest-growing search terms.
