Google has announced a number of tweaks to its social networking platform Google+ designed to help businesses using the platform to better integrate their presence across other offerings from Google including, YouTube, AdWords and Google Maps.

Pavni Diwanji wrote on the Google blog how “millions of businesses use Google+ to connect with their customers in meaningful ways” these days.

She added the Internet giant understood how digital marketing businesses use things such as AdWords for promoting products and Maps to update store information, so decided to launch the Google+ Dashboard in order to help Google users more easily manage their online presence.

The new dashboard will allow users to quickly update information on multiple platforms from an Overview tab, therefore instead of making the tweaks individually, a business can update info such as store hours and phone numbers across platforms such as Maps, Google+ and Search all at once.

It will also provide a place to monitor all Google+ notifications, and do things such as sharing video and photos and assigning page managers.

For local businesses, it will also provide quick access to AdWords Express and Offers campaigns as well as insights into the top searches for their business, the top locations requesting driving directions and also performance data for their Google+ activities and posts.

Using the new dashboard is as simple as logging on to Google+ and clicking on the dashboard icon located on the navigation menu.
