Google is set to rollout an updated version of its AdWords Editor over the next few weeks.
An announcement on the Inside AdWords blog said existing users of its pay per click services will be prompted to automatically upgrade to the new tool as soon as it becomes available to them.
Among the features of the AdWords Editor 8.0.1 is an Extensions tab, which Google said should make it easier for marketers to create and manage location extensions.
These features allow brands to develop ads with a collapsible box containing contact information or map locations of their branches in a particular area.
Google recently overhauled the tools so companies can include up to four addresses close to a user's location.
In addition, the new editor has collapsible and expandable panels, progress bars to keep track of long-term tasks and simplified exception requests. Its error messages have also been revamped to make them more helpful.
Existing AdWords Editor users will have to download their account again once they have installed the updated version.
