Keeping up with the latest news from social networking sites from mobile applications has been made easier after Twitter announced two new versions of their apps.

One major area of difficulty for mobile users in the past was accessing Twitter from the phone because none were called ‘Twitter’. Now with the launch of Twitter for Blackberry and Twitter for Android users can easily and quickly log into their sites on the move.

Since mid-April the company have seen a 62 per cent rise in mobile users with 16 per cent of all new users starting from a mobile application.

According to recent figures receives the highest amount of users via mobile apps with 78 per cent of the users, leaving a large margin between m, which has 14 per cent of users.

Twitter also revealed that a further 8 per cent of users log in to their service using Twitter for iPhone and SMS respectively, leaving UberTwitter in tenth place with 2 per cent of users logging in through this app.
With social media marketing at an all-time high, the introduction of the new apps should increase the amount of users logging onto Twitter via mobile apps, increasing from the already high 46 per cent.
