Google has announced the launched of its AdWords Small Business Center.

Miles Johnson of the Inside AdWords team said the new feature will provide entrepreneurs with tips, updates and tutorials to help them get the most out of their pay per click marketing.

The website has sections on the "essentials" of running paid search campaigns for beginners, as well as more experienced users.

Among the topics covered are how to write ads and the best ways to improve landing pages.

The hub also provides links to the Inside AdWords blog and the Small Business Corner, a forum where visitors can discuss marketing issues with other entrepreneurs.

Mr Johnson added that in the next few weeks, Google will launch an AdWords Train & Gain challenge, offering online advertisers the chance to win prizes like Android smartphones, a trip to Australia and free expert consultations.

In related news, the search engine recently launched a web-based tutorial to help paid search marketers get the most out of the AdWords Opportunities tab, which generates ideas for keywords, bids and budgets.
