Tom Williams recently hosted our August SEO webinar. We caught up with him to find out more about the next live session, as well as what got our audience talking.
Our resident SEO expert Tom Williams hosted our August SEO webinar last Wednesday, and the feedback has been hugely positive.
Here’s what some of our audience had to say:
Very helpful summary, particularly when it’s difficult to find the time to read articles etc. to catch up on what’s happening and the latest developments – this just helped to sum everything up nicely.
I’ve been waiting for something like this – with things often so busy, it’s difficult to know what’s happening and what isn’t in the world of SEO. I’m looking forward to the next one!
The topic that generated the most response was: Google Emails Warnings To Webmasters That Chrome Will Mark HTTP Pages With Forms As ‘Not Secure’.
Several audience members asked about the possible impact of moving from HTTP to HTTPS.
Tom confirmed that this change is to protect user data, and although site visibility can drop temporarily, there are ways in which the site migration can be carried out effectively to ensure there is minimal impact on current SEO performance.
For more information, check out our e-Book: Best Practice Guide to Planning & Managing a Site Migration.
Other topics discussed included:
- How rich snippets could be useful for you and your business
- Why content and page speed are top elements to consider before Google’s mobile-first index transition
- How rankings could be affected if your content from desktop is cut/hidden in mobile
