Businesses should bear their own particular requirements in mind before seeking advice from SEO companies, according to new reports.
The number of enterprises engaging in e-commerce and online business is growing as they begin to recognise the value of such investments.
Onrec.com reports that investment in a good SEO company "is as important as an investment in a new set of computers" as long as particular requirements are taken into consideration.
It adds that SEO companies can advise "clients on ways to improve sales while avoiding budget-breaking practices".
And while web professionals tend to be young, many have been working in the business for a long period of time and can hence offer a diverse range of services.
Meanwhile, the SEO market has increased rapidly in recent months, with searches now the second most commonly used application on the internet.
Research from the SEMPO valued the industry at $10 billion (£5.1 billion) in 2006.
