Google has invited feedback from users of its mobile search engine after making it openly available.
In news that will be of interest to companies that focus on Google's services when plotting their search engine optimisation strategy, the mobile search now offers a range of new features that are "more tailored" to users' needs.
Users will now be able to add details of preferred searches to the homepage to make them accessible via one click.
Google claims that the user interface carries recent search information (for example, details of a location) into new searches in order to reduce the number of clicks needed to get relevant answers.
In a blog entry, Google's mobile team product manager Yael Shacham said that the algorithm-based search has also been refined to pinpoint results more accurately.
The Mountain View-based firm boasted more than 3.6 billion searches by internet users in the US in February, giving it a 55.8 per cent share of the search market, according to e-consultancy.
