Mobile ad solution launched by Yahoo!

Yahoo! has today launched a new set of solutions aimed at publishers looking to up the mobile ante.
With Yahoo! Mobile Publisher Services, the Sunnyvale-based firm hopes to attract advertisers looking for search engine optimisation over the mobile channel.
One of the tools available in the package is Yahoo! Mobile Ad Network, which will allow mobile publishers to have syndicated advertising on their mobile content and select the formatting.
The rest of the new services making up the suite are Mobile Content Engine, Mobile Media Directory and Mobile Site Summit.
Steve Boom, senior vice president of mobile and broadband with the search engine provider, said: "We are enabling publishers to grow their own mobile businesses by taking advantage of our unique experience, technology and services."
The announcement comes after US-based online ad agency AQuantive told Bloomberg last week that the rate of clicks on Yahoo! ads had increased by ten per cent since the introduction of its Project Panama software.
