Internet marketing spend will increase in 2010 and beyond, it has been claimed, as budgets recover and advertisers are better able to use the skills they possess.
This is according to UTalkMarketing, which cited figures from the Marketers' Internet Ad Barometer as brought out by the European Interactive Advertising Association (EIAA) that suggested online marketing services expenditure will climb by nearly eight per cent next year.
The EIAA study also revealed that 84 per cent of those asked in 16 European countries believe that the web is a good advertising medium.
Furthermore, UTalkMarketing forecast that ecommerce will yield results for the biggest traders, although the profit margins for the majority of online retailers will decline more in 2010.
Earlier this month, Yahoo! made its own predictions about the coming year, with James Tipple of the company stating that less developed countries will adopt the mobile internet as a vehicle to drive advertising.
