Property letting agency to embrace search engine optimisation A London-based property letting agency has announced that it is to turn to online marketing to boost traffic to its website.

Pearl & Coutts, which specialises in residential and commercial property lettings, said that it is to combine search engine optimisation and pay-per-click techniques in order to achieve top rankings for its relevant keywords.

By focussing on key phrases such as 'London commercial property', 'offices to rent' and 'office space London', Pearl & Coutts also intends to reduce cost-per-action.

The firm hopes that the optimisation of its web marketing strategy will increase the visibility of its website on the major search engines.

Pearl & Coutts might have been interested to hear the words of William Leake, chief executive and president of Apogee Search, who said this week that highly-ranked websites rely on readability as much as keywords.

Mr Leake advised writers to aim to include keywords in title tags, add inbound links and keep the text readable.
