Search marketing 'can be simple' There are a number of steps firms can take in order to help ensure their website is on the first page of search engine results page, it has been claimed.

According to Marketing Services Talk, around 70 per cent of search engine users click on organic result rather than sponsored links, so ensuring that a website is on the first page of listing can really help a business to succeed.

The marketing news provider suggests that for those set to embark on an internet marketing campaign, effective use of keywords and ensuring that a business name and address is prominent can help to ensure that search engines more easily pick up a website.

Also, firms can make sure that their business is listed with search engines by submitting a listing with the providers.

But aside from these steps, opting to follow a formal search engine marketing campaign can prove to be a helpful way to improve search engine listings, a number of experts have argued.
