Yahoo! and Novarra team up for oneSearch Yahoo! has selected Novarra as the server platform for use with the mobile search engine oneSearch.

The program will adapt websites for use on mobile phones using the 6.5 version of its Vision software.

Users will be able to click links provided by the oneSearch result where the Novarra Vision server platform will then automatically transform the site for mobile phone use.

Novarra claims this will give visually rich, fast and intuitive searches across the mobile web.

Jayanthi Rangarajan, chief executive of Novarra said: "We leverage our deep expertise of mobile networks and handsets and offer robust, scalable platforms."

"Our mass-market deployments across America, Europe and Asia have proven consumer satisfaction and steady growth," he added.

Yahoo! claims that oneSearch gives users results that are delivered in a new format that redefines the way searches are conducted for the mobile phone.

The facility aims to provide instant answers without the need to "sift through a bunch of links like on the PC".
