Yahoo! forms toolbar agreement with Acresso Software companies and those involved with internet marketing will soon be offered the Yahoo! toolbar as part of larger packages due to a new agreement with Acresso Software.

Over 71,000 organisations will have easier access to the toolbar as Acresso's InstallShield technology allows the users to include it as an optional extra when installing other software.

The move is hoped to make increase the search power of users and increase revenues as it will further expand the potential for online marketing.

Yahoo!'s toolbar was the first of its kind available on the web and with InstallShield used on over 500 million PCs across the world, the move should both increase use of Yahoo!'s search engine and the options afforded software developers using Acresso's program, according to the two companies.

Vish Makhijani, general manager and senior vice president of Yahoo! Search, commented: "This partnership gives us the ability to extend our reach with Yahoo! Toolbar and become the starting point for InstallShield's global community."

Meanwhile, Microsofts rival toolbar will now be distributed on all Hewlett Packard consumer PCs in the US and Canada from the start of 2009, it was recently announced.
