Job Description
As a result of our continued success we are looking for a Web Developer to provide web development services to us and our client base. You will be expected to create robust web sites, micro-sites and web applications that employ the latest online technologies and perfectly complement existing internet marketing activity.
Responsibilities are as follows:
- Work closely with both the Account Management and Client Services teams to build sites that meet and exceed client expectations.
- Work with our internal SEO experts to ensure that the sites you build take into consideration search engine optimisation requirements.
- Where necessary, liaising with clients to understand their requirements better, and feedback on progress of specific projects.
- Improve our processes and methods to better serve our clients.
- Keeping up to date with changes in web development technology.
Skills
We need a hard-working web developer with a proven track record in creating websites and web applications from scratch, who is excited about working across a range of different clients and sectors.
The ideal candidate should have:
- At least 2 years web development experience using PHP, AJAX, HTML, CSS, Javascript, MySQL, XML and SOAP within an agile development environment.
- An excellent understanding of web usability best practice and effective GUI development to meet web standards.
- Some experience of working with third-party APIs, and in turn building APIs and web services.
- Excellent project management and organisational skills.
- Strong relationship building skills, both internal and client-facing.
- Good knowledge of search engine optimisation techniques.
- Ability to demonstrate previous web development success, with examples.
- Able to display a creative approach to projects.
- A passion for web development and the internet in general.
Required Qualifications
Relevant qualifications are of interest. However they will need to be supported with proven web development experience in a commercial environment.
