Google AdWords has unveiled a new online course to help companies boost the return on investment (ROI) from their paid search marketing.

Dan Freidman of the Inside AdWords team said the tutorial will help brands to determine the value per click of their campaigns, the maximum amount that can be paid for an ad to be clicked while still turning a profit.

It will also offer tips on finding the pay per click marketing bids with the best ROI.

Users of the Adwords Online Classroom can access the course in three different versions tailored for audiences in the UK, the US and Australia.

Mr Friedman said: "While this course is most suited to AdWords advertisers who're already measuring their ROI, we encourage anyone interested in learning more about AdWords bidding strategy to view it."

Earlier this month, Google launched an online course designed to help marketers get started on campaigns for mobile devices.

Miles Johnson of the Inside AdWords team said according to figures from Morgan Stanley, these platforms account for around half of all new internet connections.
