Internet marketing services providers who use Google's AdWords platform may be interested in a new feature which aims to make optimising promotions for mobile users easier.
With mobile queries to the search engine growing by more than five times in the last two years and jumping by 130 per cent year-on-year in the third quarter of 2010, the company stated that it is "unsurprising" that more marketers are looking to capitalise on the increase.
Therefore, a new addition to the AdWords keyword tools has been designed to help make advertisers' jobs easier.
Users searching for a keyword can now select mobile WAP browsers, full mobile internet-enabled phones, or all mobile services to see which terms are performing best, the firm explained.
The resulting statistics will then be specific to the device or devices that have been chosen.
It was recently stated by Search Engine Land's Bryson Meunier that marketers must consider mobile users when performing search engine optimisation.
