Google has launched a new website designed to keep marketers and advertisers up to date with changes in the company’s ad formats.
The Ad Innovations page covers "high-level themes" such as ad extensions and new ad models, while also including individual areas dedicated to formats currently under development, Dan Friedman wrote on the official blog of Google’s pay per click marketing service AdWords.
In addition, the site highlights some formats that have not yet been fully released, such as video extensions and product listing ads, he added.
Visitors to Ad Innovations can explore other Google marketing features, such as remarketing – which allows advertisers to target previous visitors to their sites with relevant offers such as last-minute discounts as they browse the Google Content Network.
It also has information on Search Funnels, an AdWords search that provides marketers with a set of reports designed to expand their base of information about how consumers interact with ads during the shopping process.
Ad Innovations follows the launch of Google’s initiative to make the development of new ad formats a "major focus" for AdWords in 2010.
