Internet services firm IAC has extended its online marketing services deal with Google to March 2016, it has been revealed.
The original agreement between the two technology businesses was scheduled to expire at the end of 2012, but this has now been amended.
As part of the partnership, Google provides search products to IAC and its affiliates across 30 countries, including sponsored listings and search-related services.
Commenting on the reasons behind the renegotiation, IAC chief executive officer Greg Blatt said the company's search operations have grown substantially over the last five years, generating pre-tax cash flow of $500 million (£308 million).
"The industry continues to grow at attractive rates and we have every opportunity for continued growth and success," he added.
According to the latest comScore Search Engine Rankings, Google led the market in terms of explicit core requests – which exclude contextually driven searches – with 65.4 per cent of all queries.
