A one-day workshop for those in the digital industry has been launched by marketing experts.

Provided by Econsultancy, the course – called Video for the Web – is aimed at internet marketing services who want to develop their online video strategies.

Christian Payne, who will be running the series, remarked that many businesses have made investments in equipment but lack the necessary skills to implement video content.

"[Our] workshop combines the right mixture of practice and theory to ensure that delegates get a solid understanding of how to produce and disseminate video through online channels," he said.

The UK audience for internet viewing is growing, with almost four million videos watched each month online.

A recent survey by the Association of National Advertisers revealed that an increasing number of marketers were turning to new media as a channel, with 66 per cent of businesses using social networks in 2009 compared to 20 per cent in 2007.
