This year’s Search Engine Strategies (SES) conference in San Jose will open with keynote speeches from some of the industry’s top executives, it has been revealed.

Marissa Mayer, vice president of search products and user experience at Google and Jim Lanzone, chief executive of Ask.com, will speak at the event which runs from August 20th to 23rd at the McEnery Convention Centre.

Ms Mayer is expected to discuss Google’s recent developments in search marketing including its attempts to create more personalised search results for users.

It is thought Jim Lanzone will speak on the launch of Ask.com’s Ask3D project and discuss how it intends to face the challenges of competing with the likes of Google and Yahoo!.

Vice president of global content for the SES Kevin Ryan said: "We’re immensely pleased to bring together the foremost experts in search for this event. The search arena is evolving quickly and we all learn from each other."

The conference will also hold over 60 panels and sessions discussing items including mobile and video search and click fraud.

Earlier this week Web Profits announced a new website that provides information on search engine optimisation and marketing events and workshops across Australia.
