Internet marketing experts at ClickThrough Marketing have found a tasty way to help raise money for charity.

Staff at the Lichfield online agency tucked into sweet treats and gooey cakes to help fundraise for a mammoth cycling challenge.

ClickThrough decided to help out after discovering family-owned client, Tippers Building Merchants – another local Lichfield business – were supporting the challenge.

Around 22 cyclists from Buckinghamshire, were taking part in the gruelling slog from Land’s End to John O’Groats, to raise cash for Macmillian Cancer Support.

To break up the legs, some cyclists rode from Land’s End up to Lichfield, then swapped so others could finish the journey.

The more, er, crazy cyclists are tackling the whole challenge.

The team are hoping to raise around £100,000 to help support the work of Macmillan nurses.

ClickThrough SEO expert Lily Bowron brought a veritable feast of chocolates, cakes and sweets into the office: with staff digging deep to help swell the coffers.

Every penny will go towards the total for the cyclists – who will cover 1,100 miles in just ten days.

The cycle kicked off at Tippers in Lichfield with Lily on hand to wave the cyclists off in her very natty ClickThrough t-shirt.

The whole Tipper family have been involved in supporting the challenge: cooking bacon sandwiches for cyclists to eat for breakfast, hosting a make shift physio room and providing dinner in the evening for the second raft of cyclists.

The challenge will end on Sunday, September 23 at John O’Groats.
