Popular social networking site, Facebook, is set to launch a new service that will allow users of the site to produce their own business cards - complete with images and material posted on their own profile - according to an article published by the Guardian.
Simply named Facebook Cards, the service has been described as a "new model of social-business networking" that "bridges the gap between online and offline."
The service has been developed by Facebook - a site popular with social media marketing professionals - in conjunction with digital printing firm, Moo.com.
As an incentive to entice users to the service, Facebook will be giving the first 200,000 users of the service 50 free cards - which would normally cost £10.
Speaking about the service, Facebook spokeswoman, Jillian Stefanki, stated: "Timeline helps people tell their story on Facebook and feature the parts of their life that mean the most to them," adding: "The Moo.com integration makes it possible for people to take the same experience with them offline."
