According to Barry Schwartz, the new design looks a lot like the new mobile friendly testing tool, which makes sense from a user continuity perspective.

As part of the changes to its movie knowledge panels, Google is now asking users to tag the movies they actively search for. At present this seems to be a limited test, as it is unclear just how these tags will be utilised.
