LEARN ABOUT HARRY BROOKS, OUR NEW DIGITAL PAID MEDIA EXECUTIVE

When did you join ClickThrough?

I joined Clickthrough on the 5th of January 2021.

What does your role at ClickThrough involve?

I support with the day-to-day management of the DPM strategy and I am responsible for reporting on our campaign performance.

What's your background?

Before working at Clickthrough I was a Digital Marketing apprentice at a company in Lichfield. In this role, I was able to gain valuable experience and gain my Level 3 Digital Marketing qualification. I learned a lot in my apprenticeship which led me to become a digital marketing assistant before I took the leap to ClickThrough.

What do you love about your role at ClickThrough?

I love that my role is very focused and that I get to work in Digital Paid Media specifically and not a broad role that covers the whole of Digital Marketing. This allows me to develop my skillset in the area that I am passionate about.

What do you like about ClickThrough and its culture?

The aspect of ClickThrough that has impressed me since joining has been the focus on working as a team and helping others. I have had several members of staff message me privately asking me how I am getting on and if I need anything. Also, the team has been helping me to learn more about my clients and how ClickThrough operates as a business.

If you hadn't gone into marketing, what would your other career option be?

If I had not have gone into marketing, then I would have looked to become a football academy coach. Once I finished high school, I completed my Level 1 in football coaching and started coaching a local team. I went with marketing as there are better career paths for me and it also allows you to develop skills that can help you with any businesses outside of work.

If you could trade places with any other person for a week, who would it be and why?

As I am passionate about football, I would trade places with the Aston Villa manager Dean Smith. Although I love playing football, I think you would learn more being a manager than a player. There are a lot more responsibilities such as managing a massive team of people in a variety of roles, preparing the games and training, and then also being the face of a massive brand. I believe this experience would be very enjoyable and educational.

What do you do in your spare time?

In my spare time, I love playing and watching football. I am a season ticket holder at Aston Villa and have gone abroad to watch teams such as AC Milan and Barcelona. My love of football also extends to a business I run selling vintage sportswear called Retrace Vintage. When I can I also love to travel as much as I can, I have visited Italy, Spain, France, Latvia, Estonia, the USA, and Poland. I hope to visit Germany, Japan, and the Czech Republic in the future!
