Google adds features to mobile internet marketing services

By ClickThrough Marketing | March 9, 2011

Google adds features to mobile internet marketing servicesGoogle has made improvements to its mobile online marketing services by enabling Instant Previews for certain smartphones.

The feature, which has been available on desktop and notebook computers for some time, gives the user a thumbnail snapshot of results from within the search engine, making it easier for them to select the correct page.

It is now available for owners of Android devices running version 2.2 of the operating system or higher, as well as iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch users who have iOS 4.0 or greater installed.

To access Instant Preview, users need to tap on the magnifying glass icon that appears next to their search results, which brings up side-by-side comparisons of all the sites that have appeared on the first page of the search results.

Google's Android mobile platform is currently the most popular among smartphone buyers in the US, as, according to comScore data, it currently holds 31.2 per cent of the market share.
