Google has published a list of its active Twitter accounts for internet users that want to follow the latest on the company’s programmes through the social networking site.

Writing on the Official Google Blog, Karen Wickre of the search engine’s blog and Twitter team said because the search engine has so many initiatives on the go, it has a number of active accounts.

There are dedicated feeds offering updates and tips on Google itself, Google Images, Google News, Google Reader, iGoogle and YouTube.

The search engine also has active feeds for students using Google, Spanish users of YouTube and those looking for IT and workplace productivity solutions.

Pay per click marketing professionals have their own feed for finding answers and tips about AdWords, while Google Analytics feed provides updates on improving website usability and effectiveness.

There are also dedicated Google Twitter streams for German, Spanish and Russian users of AdWords and AdSense.

According to the latest data from Compete, Google accounts for 73.9 per cent of the US search market.
