We Meet Kieran McCormack, Our New Digital Paid Media Apprentice

When did you join ClickThrough?

I joined ClickThrough in October 2020

What does your role at ClickThrough involve?

To gain the knowledge and skills required for working in the DPM department and apply this to benefit the team and clients.

What's your background?

Before I joined ClickThrough Marketing I studied a Sport Management degree at the University of Derby achieving a 2:1 whilst having a few part-time jobs in the process, these included McDonald's and behind a bar at a pub. After Uni I moved back to Lichfield and worked front of house at Poms

What do you love about your role at ClickThrough?

I love the new opportunities and knowledge of digital marketing that has been opened to myself through this role. Meeting everyone in the team and office has been positive which gives me hope for the future!

What do you like about ClickThrough and its culture?

Over the past months I have learned more about ClickThrough and its culture and it has impressed me so far through its professional approach in everything. In the short time I have been here, I can tell the company cares a lot for its employees through all the staff policies and benefits that are included in the role. The creativity and constant improvement of procedures are also a great thing to see.

If you hadn’t gone into marketing, what would your other career option be?

If I hadn’t gone into marketing, I would have tried to get into the sports industry to make use of my degree. A job in the MLS has always appealed to me but I'm still unsure which area of business.

If you could trade places with any other person for a week, who would it be and why?

I would trade places with Chase Reinford, I’d love to have the freedom and courage to do the things he does; skydiving, cliff diving, and pretty much travel the world doing any extreme sport!

What do you do in your spare time?

In my spare time I enjoy to watch and play football, I'm also partial to festivals and gigs - I listen to most genres of music and try to play the guitar when I can actually be bothered (Not very well though). I like trying out different pubs and bars, the weirder the beer the better. The thought of holidays and travelling to experience new places excites me as well, but when at home I’m happy to sit in and watch films and occasionally play video games.
