Google has unveiled a new feature that could be of use to companies offering internet marketing services.

The new Google Docs presentations tool allows users to easily organise, share and collaborate on presentations using their internet browser.

Writing about the new function on its official blog, Google explained the feature is "created to be shared" and hopes those who already exchange documents and spreadsheets will find it to be of use.

The presentations can be existing or imported files and are then edited using the Google Docs interface.

Participants, who can also discuss the presentation using Google Talk simultaneously, click a link to follow what it going on as the speaker moves through the slideshow.

In news regarding the company, Eric Enge of Search Engine Watch recently claimed the new Google Instant search feature will affect long-tail phrases, as people are likely to click on their intended query before they complete the phrase.
