Google unveils new-look Blog Search

By ClickThrough Marketing | October 2, 2008

Google’s Blog Search service now has a brand new homepage offering a range of features similar to those seen on Google News, internet marketing executives may want to note.

Visitors to the homepage can see recent and interesting blog posts sorted into clusters depending on the story being covered, as well as search posts based on category.

This layout allows users to access a wide range of viewpoints on the same issue, while a new graph feature shows the rate at which posts about a particular story have been made in the last few hours or days.

Product manager Michael Cohen said on the Official Google Blog: "We’re launching in English only today, but plan to add new features and support for more languages in the coming months."

Technorati recently published blog statistics suggesting that close to a million new posts are made by bloggers worldwide on a daily basis.
