A number of different search engine optimisation tactics have recently come under the spotlight at a seminar for the sector, it has been claimed.

Posting an article on Search Engine Land, search engine optimisation expert Debra Mastaler noted that the importance of link building has become an increasingly hot topic for internet marketing firms.

A number of different tactics for link building were discussed in the meeting, Ms Mastaler said, adding that different forms of link building all appeared to offer some success for search engine optimisation.

Indeed it appears that "just about everything" is still working in terms of link building for search engine optimisation purposes, the article claims.

But nonetheless, the execution of different tactics has to evolve in order to meet the evolution of the web and to remain relevant, Ms Mastaler added.

However, members at the meeting all agreed that link building could be a tedious process, but the results from a successful campaign may be worth the effort in the long-run, she said.
