People in the online marketing industry should consider using digital video streaming in their advertising campaigns, findings from a new report indicate.

The publication by Web TV Enterprise suggested online video marketing "is now firmly on the map" as a promotion tool and that those involved in internet marketing services should be using the technology more to create bespoke premium placements.

Jamie Estrin, the managing director of the company, wrote in the report’s introduction that the medium has experienced a growth in interest over the last few years.

"With a wide range of professionally produced content available on the web and the significant reach online video viewing delivers, the UK market is now ready for advertising," he said.

Web TV Enterprise has, since its inception in 2006, been working towards providing advertisers with a choice of online video channels in order to help them promote their brands in various formats.
