Google has made has made some changes to its AdWords services that a new article states search engine marketing (SEM) experts need to be aware of.

According to Search Engine Land, all AdWords display URLs will need to match their destination URLs from April 1st and online marketing campaigns will need to be adapted to take this into account.

As part of a new feature on the website, entitled In The Trenches, Josh Dreller suggests that "every SEM pro" should familiarise themselves with the new AdWords rules and states that Google claims it will "strictly" enforce the changes.

"In line with our existing policy, we’ll continue to require that your ad’s display URL matches its destination URL … this policy will be strictly enforced for new ads, regardless of previous exceptions," the site states Google has advised.

Earlier this month, Google launched its Business YouTube channel which aims to educate users of AdWords, Website Optimizer and Analytics with instructional videos.
