Google has announced that it is letting AdSense users place ads on domains that have not yet been developed.
Through AdSense for domains, publishers and internet marketing executives will be able to generate revenue despite not having any content available.
Google said that this will be helpful for both website owners and consumers as those visiting an undeveloped domain will see relevant ads rather than just an error message or an empty page.
The search engine will also police the use of AdSense for domains ads to ensure they do not result in confusion among website visitors.
"We regularly receive requests from advertisers who have found domains to be an effective way to reach their users," stated Loren Donelson of Google on the Inside AdSense blog.
AdSense for domains is the latest in a long line of new ad offerings launched by Google in the last few months.
Its other new services include AdWords branding ads for hard alcohol and sponsored video advertising on YouTube.
