As was reported previously in this blog, in recent weeks Google had been trialling running its ads on Yahoo, possibly to fend off the Microsoft ‘approaches’ entirely.

The official announcement was made yesterday that Yahoo will host Google’s Adshare program on its own portal and search. However, there are still anti-trust issues, and Yahoo has a fight on its hands from within the shareholder ranks, and a small battle with one Carl Icahn to deal with….watch this space!
