An update of the search criteria at Yahoo! is apparently being carried out.

A blog on Search Engine Land notes that a Yahoo! search update is currently underway, having started over the weekend.

It is noted that no official word has been heard from the search engine, but changes are apparently being tracked.

Apparently, the firm’s latest search update was in March, but there were no significant changes at that time. Now, however, the changes are taking place on a much larger scale.

Webmasters did not notice any major alterations with the last update, Search Engine Land notes, but suggests that changes may be seen with this latest change to search criteria.

The Yahoo! search blog was last updated last month and confirmed new developments in mobile search and other services available via mobile phones.

Indeed iPhone users are now able to watch streamed movie trailers direct from the search results when they search for a particular film.
