Microsoft’s new search engine has now gone live and is available for all UK web users to visit and search for information.
In a post on the Microsoft adCenter blog, community team member Carolyn Miller announced that the site is up and running.
She quoted Whitney Burk, director of Bing, who, writing on the new Bing blog, urged consumers to start exploring the features available.
"With Bing, we are focused on helping you complete tasks faster by presenting better organised and more relevant content, great tools to help you in your search experience and services that can be found only on Bing," said Ms Burk.
Bing aims to help internet users make decisions in four key areas – shopping online, making travel arrangements, finding local businesses and researching health conditions.
In an earlier post on the adCenter blog, Ms Miller explained that companies looking to launch internet marketing campaigns on Bing will still be able to buy keywords in the adCenter environment.
