A list of suggestions for those involved in online retail has been released by Google, aimed at improving conversion rates from mobile phones.

Writing on the Google blog, Amy Adams Harding of the company’s retail team began the checklist with the tip to ensure ease of website usability, so as to provide a page that is accessible irrespective of the device being used to do so.

She also emphasised creating a good landing page experience and simple navigation of the site as being important.

Furthermore, Ms Adams Harding proposed online retailers provide an easy option for saving to and sending searches from the phone, as well as adding functions such as ’email it to me’ and ‘remind me’ in order to improve transaction rates.

In other news, a recent report by Juniper Research found that those involved in online PR will be spending an increasing amount of their advertising budget on the mobile internet over the next few years.
