Last month we discussed how Google had finally confirmed that social signals were being incorporated into search algorithms.

Then, last week, Dave Chaffey explored social sharing further, explaining that by making your content easy to share, you can maximise your chance to benefit from social sharing – delivering new traffic from social networks, and potentially increasing your search engine rankings at the same time.

Thankfully, a proliferation of all-in-one social sharing button services have been launched over the past few years, which provide site visitors with a simple way to share your content with one click. But do they work?

Well, in an effort to find out, we’ve decided to pepper the end of this post with a number of different social sharing buttons courtesy of AddThis, AddToAny, BookmarkButton, Hootsuite, Onlywire, and Sociofluid.

Ugly en masse? Yes. Powerful ways of tying social media and SEO together? We’d argue, also yes. Either way, it’s never been easier to encourage visitors to your site to share your content with others.
