Search engine optimisation (SEO) is growing due to the number of people involved in internet marketing that recognise its importance, according to one expert.

In an article for Best Syndication, organic SEO and search marketing expert Paul Steven states that for companies looking to boost their brand or get noticed online, SEO campaigns have become essential.

However, he adds that when companies employ a new strategy and do not see any significant page ranking results, this can be down to the fact that they have not employed the right online marketing specialist.

He advises taking a little time to check the background of the SEO provider you use and states that engaging with the customer should be something that all such firms are keen to do.

"Most genuine companies or consultants want to build bridges with their clients. They see the clients’ success as a stepping stone to further business relationships," he notes.

Also this week, search marketer Stuart Tofts said that focus on SEO is improving the internet for users by creating a world where content works for the consumer.
