A mobile internet site offering a best practice template and showcasing the latest in mobile functionality has been set up by the Internet Advertising Bureau (IAB).

The page – www.m.iabuk.net – will feature live news feeds and can be accessed via SMS, both mobile and web browsers and is aimed at ensuring those in the online PR industry are fully aware of the potential of portable devices using the internet.

Head of mobile at the IAB Jon Mew made the observation that adoption of mobile media is "steadily increasing" and, as such, it is important for the organisation to keep educating companies on the rudiments of the practice.

"We’ve launched this site to show brands how it should be done," he said.

Earlier this month, Econsultancy implemented its fourth customer engagement survey, dedicated to helping companies maximise their profits and which looks at how leading firms enhance their relationships with consumers.
