Yahoo! has offered some tips to users of its paid search services as it starts to transition accounts to Microsoft’s platform.

The company’s Search Marketing Blog said over the next few weeks, an adCenter tab will appear in its pay per click marketing accounts.

Users can click on this to start the transition process and Yahoo! experts will be on hand to “walk you through the simple steps to create or link accounts”.

Once the transfer is complete, ads will be active and eligible for immediate display on the Bing search engine.

Yahoo! also recommended that pay per click advertisers download Microsoft’s Silverlight application.

This web application framework, which is similar to Adobe Flash, will highlight the “key differences” between Yahoo! and adCenter platforms during the transition process.

All users of Yahoo!’s online marketing services are expected to be transferred to the Microsoft system by early 2012.
