One expert has suggested Google TV is a "slap in the SEO [search engine optimisation] face" for internet marketing services.

Writing for Search Engine Journal, Alan Bleiweiss explained the new feature will make it difficult to produce quality content.

Google TV allows users to watch television while surfing the web at the same time and the commentator noted big brands were beginning to pick up on it already.

However, optimising websites to use the device could be challenging, as content should be limited to seven words per line and, if clients are keen to use their own fonts rather than those provided by the search engine firm, Flash will need to be employed.

Additionally, a new version of domains must be created to be accessible by the application.

The search engine company announced the launch of Google TV on October 5th, revealing it was working with brands such as Sony and Intel about having the feature installed on televisions.
