The updated Google Ad Preview Tool could make it easier for webmasters to revise their PPC marketing for the best exposure.

Using the Ad Preview Tool, website operators making use of Google's PPC marketing services can visualise how their ads will appear, without incurring clicks or impressions on their account.

In an announcement on the Google Inside AdWords blog, the search engine reveals it has added support for specifying mobile devices on which the ad is to be previewed.

This allows advertisers to simulate the appearance of their promotional messages on high-end smartphones, without having access to one of the handsets.

Meanwhile, the main screen of the tool now also confirms whether ads are being displayed for a particular keyword, as well as which campaign and group those marketing messages belong to.

Location-specific previews can also be loaded, either by providing the tool with the desired place name, or by manually entering coordinates.
